ABOUT THE EVENT

The Experimental Performance Series features self-produced works from undergraduate and graduate students in theatre and dance.

This performance will feature an excerpt of an original theatre piece written and directed by Miele Murray and a dance performance co-created by Christina Collins and daniel miramontes.

Socabane and Vestorin (Concept Scene) by Miele Murray

A foolhardy prince (Raymond Zajic) and a headstrong princess (Miele Murray), must grapple with their shared longings for frivolity and freedom and the irrevocable duty they owe to their respective countries. Excerpted from work-in-progress, written and designed by Miele Murray.

Approximate run time: Scene (19 minutes), Artistic Presentation (10 minutes)

In this dance performance, 3rd year dance MFA co-creators Christina Collins and daniel miramontes explore themes of friendship and resilience by combining elements of strength, agility, softness and vulnerability through movement.
